Who we are

MatnWave operates Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and surf cohort weeks in Morocco (Taghazout, Anza, and adjacent bases). For privacy questions, contact hello@matnwave.com.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we process:

• Identity and contact: name, email, phone number, country, and messages you send us.
• Application and booking: belt level, surf experience, package choice, travel preferences, health or injury information you choose to disclose, emergency contacts.
• Operational: cohort dates, correspondence about your stay, and payment status where relevant.
• Technical: IP address, browser type, device information, and similar signals from hosting logs or analytics configured for performance (for example, tags loaded in a worker-friendly way).

How we use your information

We use personal data to:

• Process applications, bookings, and payments;
• Communicate schedules, logistics, and material changes;
• Send marketing communications when you have opted in or the law allows;
• Improve the website and understand aggregate traffic patterns;
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on contract (booking), legitimate interests (secure operations and audience measurement), and, where required, your consent for non-essential cookies or marketing.

Sharing and transfers

Cohort operations occur in Morocco; data may be transferred where we operate and where our tools are hosted. We use appropriate safeguards where the law requires them. Retention

We keep application and booking records as long as needed to deliver the cohort, meet accounting and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or shortened form according to tool settings.

• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Request portability where applicable;
• Opt out of marketing communications;

We aim to keep third-party scripts minimal and performance-oriented. You can control cookies through your browser. Where we use analytics, we configure it to reduce impact on page load; we do not use personal data for automated profiling unrelated to operating MatnWave.

Children

MatnWave cohorts are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent. If you believe we have received a child's data in error, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date reflects revisions; material changes will be highlighted on this page or by email where appropriate.
