Anza BJJ SURF is MatnWave’s flagship residential format south of Taghazout: quieter sand-bottom peaks, a shorter shuttle to Agadir–Al Massira Airport, and the same disciplined mat rhythm you expect from a premium BJJ surf camp in Morocco.
Atlantic rhythm

Cohort-scale coaching, not festival crowds.
Times flex with tide charts and wind, but MatnWave never improvises structure —only logistics inside that structure.
Water check at Anza or a backup Agadir beach. Coaches pick the session by tide, wind, and the group’s declared surf level.
Gi or no-gi block focused on positional control, tempo drills, and coach-led corrections—not open rolling.
Quiet hours, mobility, and optional cold-water flush at the shoreline when conditions allow.
Positional and live rounds with explicit pace agreements; fatigue from surf is tracked, not ignored.
Dual discipline

Morning surf clears cortisol; afternoon labs slow mechanics down. Expect passing chains, guard maintenance, and stand-up entries scaled to belt experience. Sparring is always optional in name only—it is expected, but never reckless.
We coach trim, positioning, and wave selection before ego takes you out of depth. Boards and vests are staged when included; disclose your surf volume on the application.
Community meals, film review when useful, and early lights-out so the 06:00 session stays sharp.
Residential
Shared living aligned to surf culture—clean lines, dry rooms for gis, and communal tables where the cohort actually talks. Exact room assignment ships after deposit.

Anza sits minutes south of Agadir with forgiving beach setups; when long-period swell hits, we may stage select sessions toward Taghazout points with transparent shuttle time calls.

Citable answers
Anza offers mellower sand-bottom training waves for many skill levels and keeps airport logistics tight for Agadir arrivals. When you want Taghazout’s famous points, we still run select missions on the right tide.
Pack at least two gis or a gi plus rash guards for no-gi days. Laundry service is scheduled, but Atlantic humidity means you will want a dry kit swap after dawn surf.
Coaches bias whitewater to soft green waves for learning weeks. If a large swell arrives, we communicate session risk clearly and may shift time to protected corners.
Room maps differ by season. State single occupancy requests on the application; we quote the surcharge only when inventory exists.
