Hub FAQ — Morocco BJJ surf camps

The questions we hear most before a cohort starts—answered briefly. Each camp page carries the format-specific detail.

What is the difference between MatnWave camp formats in Morocco?

Each themed week follows the same typical day: breakfast 08:00–09:30, surf 10:00–12:00, lunch and free time until 17:00, then BJJ 17:00–19:00. The differences are season and surf spots. Before each camp we share a clear day-by-day programme; ocean conditions may require adjustments.

How many guests join each MatnWave BJJ surf camp week?

Each MatnWave cohort is limited to twelve (12) practitioners per week so surf coaching and mat corrections stay legible. EUR tiers on /prices and EUR camp formats on /camps/[slug] spell out what is included for that product—your confirmation pack matches the week you book.

Which airport do I use for MatnWave in Morocco?

Most practitioners fly into Agadir–Al Massira Airport (AGA). Private transit is coordinated for residential packages; self-drive or taxi options are outlined for training-only tiers depending on the property.

Do I need surf experience for every MatnWave camp?

You should disclose paddle fitness and break-reading comfort on the application. Morocco’s Atlantic beaches can be powerful; we still coach learning guests, but some weeks bias bigger swell—especially autumn and winter—and may not suit first-time surfers.

Is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction the same on every camp page?

Yes. Gi and no-gi fundamentals, positional chains, and belt-aware sparring stay non-negotiable. Coaches tune intensity to the group’s fatigue curve after surf blocks, not to marketing labels on the camp name.

Before your stay

Clear programme, clear extra costs

Before each camp, we share a clear day-by-day programme with participants. Surf times may change with ocean conditions; we communicate any adjustments.

We record the BJJ lesson and share the recording with participants each day so you can review what you learned.

Are lunch and dinner included?

Breakfast is included with Roll & Stay. Lunch and dinner are extra: €5 per meal, plus €1.50 if you choose dessert.

Where can I wash my clothes?

Laundry is not included in your camp package. We can wash your clothes for €10 per load of up to 5 kg. Alternatively, take your clothes yourself to a local pressing (laundry service) for around €5; the local provider sets the final price. Ask the team for directions.

How much does drinking water cost?

Bottled water costs €1 for a 1.5 L bottle and is not included in the camp package. You can also bring your own water bottle.
