We design cohorts for practitioners who already train consistently. If you are new to BJJ, you will be happier once you have a few months of fundamentals; surf expectations are listed per cohort.
Most weeks favor confident paddlers who can read Atlantic beach breaks. If you are learning, we still run water time with coaching, but conditions around Taghazout can be powerful—disclose your level on the application.
MatnWave operates from Taghazout, Morocco on the Atlantic coast, with sessions staged between the village and nearby points depending on swell.
Each week-long cohort is limited to twelve (12) practitioners to keep coaching ratios intentional.

Yes. Several guests prioritize the mat. Surf is optional; we still schedule recovery and community blocks so you stay inside the rhythm of the week.
